2015 Team Profiles

 

Team Brick Alberta

Team Brick Alberta was selected in early April after players from all over Alberta were chosen from an extensive tryout process. 2015 Team Bricks coaching staff lead by Steve Serdachny, Dan Serdachny, Travis Toomey, Ian Gordon with Tracy Martin managing the team.

Team Brick preparation began immediately after the selection process was complete and has been an exceptional experience for the coaching staff and players. The team has played and participated in tournaments hosted in California and Winnipeg prior to the tournament. We look forward to competing and participating in the worlds best super novice tournament. We welcome all teams to the City of Edmonton and the 26th annual Brick Invitational Tournament.

We also would like to thank Bill Comrie, Craig Styles, Andy Wigston and all the Brick tournament organizing committee, a special thank you to ATB financial and all of our sponsors, the families of our players and coaches and everyone who has put in an incredible amount of time and effort to the Team Brick program. We wish everyone good luck and look forward to an incredible experience

 

BC Junior Canucks

    The 2005 BC Brick Team is comprised of Players throughout the province ranging from McBride BC to Nanaimo BC. The BC team is entering 5th year as the BC Junior Canucks and 20th as Representative at the Brick (Formerly The Vipers). We are competing at the Top Tier West, North American Champions Cup and the Carmen Star tournament Los Angeles. The tradition of BC Alumni in the NHL Brent Seabrook, Karl Alzner, Kyle Turris, Martin Jones and Jordan Eberle, Tyler Johnson, Ryan Nugent Hopkins, Seth Jones, Morgan Riley, and Top ranked prospects Matthew Barzal, Jansen Harkins many more to come. We like to thank Mr. Comrie again for this vision of having the best 9 and 10 year olds come together and Craig Styles and Andy Wingston on keeping this great experience going and to the Future Brick Volunteers to whom will continue to keep this great tournament going. Also like to thank our host Craig Reed with his continued support over the 20 years we have been in attendance.

TEAM SASKATCHEWAN JUNIOR PATS

Team Saskatchewan has been under the Junior Pats namesake for the last six years. This is the first year the team has formed beginning April 1 right through to the Brick Tournament. The team consists of the top players from all over Saskatchewan. The team will have attended 5 tournaments prior to coming to compete in the Brick Tournament.

 

 

 

TORONTO PRO HOCKEY

Pro Hockey is proud to be a part of the 2015 Brick tournament and will be returning as the 2014 defending champions. The Pro Hockey Toronto Brick Team is made up of some of the very best 2005 born hockey players from all over Ontario including Niagara Falls, Newmarket, Oakville, Cornwall and the Greater Toronto Area.

Final selections were made in Mid-February and since then they have been playing and practicing as a team. This talented group of players have been playing together and against each other over the last 4 years, training for this moment.

On behalf of the Pro Hockey Toronto Brick Team we would like to wish all teams the best of luck and thank The Brick Tournament Committee for all of their hard work and dedication.

 

 

MONTREAL ICE STORM

The Montreal Ice Storm Brick Team is eagerly looking forward to competing in the 2015 Brick Tournament in Edmonton.  This years team was selected after extensive scouting, and very competitive tryouts held in Montreal in December, again in Trois Rivières in March and finally in Montreal in April.  Players on this years edition come from not only the greater Montreal region, but also from places such as Drummondville, Quebec City, Victoriaville, Trois Rivières, Joliette and St. Jean-sur-Richelieu.  The coaching staff feels that the 2015 team should compete hard in the tournament and be full measure for the competition it will face in Edmonton.  The Montreal Ice Storm is proud to represent Quebec at the Brick Tournament, and extends a big MERCIto The Brick, Craig, Andy and all of the sponsors and volunteers who contribute to making this tournament the world class experience that it is, and one that the players and parents will remember for many years to come.  We are all looking forward to a week of fun and great hockey in Edmonton!

 

 

 

TEAM CALIFORNIA

The California program returns to Edmonton for its 26th consecutive summer to compete against the best competition in North America. Our special thanks to the Brick tournament organizers, the sponsors, and the event staff who run the greatest hockey tournament in the world. Good luck to all teams from Team Californias players, coaches, and parents.

 

 

 

TEAM MINNESOTA

The Minnesota organization is proud to present the 2015 Team Minnesota Hockey Club. Team Minnesota has attracted the best and most talented nine and ten year old players within Minnesotas boundaries. The Minnesota Blades organization has worked tirelessly over the last 12 months to find the right caliber of players to meet the talent expectations of playing in the prestigious Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament.  Team Minnesota looks forward to competing against the best 05s in North America. On behalf of the coaching staff, players and parents, Team Minnesota would like to thank all of the Brick Hockey Tournament volunteers and organizers for providing these young hockey players a once in a life time opportunity to compete in The 26th Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament.  Heres to a great week of hockey and best of luck to all of the teams.

 

 

 

BOSTON JUNIOR BRUINS

The Junior Bruins are proud to represent greater Boston and eastern New England at the Brick tournament. We would like to thank Mr. Bill Comrie, Mr. Craig Styles, Mr. Andy Wigston, all the Brick staff members and volunteers for the opportunity to participate in the best youth hockey tournament in the world. The team will play in the Toronto Invitational (April), the Boston Showdown (May) and the Icebreaker tournament (June) prior to heading to Edmonton. The roster includes players from Massachusetts (13), Rhode Island (1), Maine (1), New Hampshire (1) and New York (1). We are excited to be back at the Brick Tournament and look forward to a great week of hockey! Go Bs!

 

 

 

DETROIT JUNIOR RED WINGS

Little Caesars, the parent organization of the Detroit Jr. Red Wings, has supported AAA hockey since 1968, the year the LC AAA program was founded. The organization remains one of the most respected and competitive amateur hockey organizations in North America. Currently, over 50 Little Caesars AAA alumni are playing, or have played, in the NHL. Hundreds of others have established collegiate and or pro hockey careers. It is from this foundation that this years Detroit Jr. Red Wings Brick Team is built. The 2015 team is mainly composed of players from Southeastern Michigan, but we have welcomed three imports two from Ontario and one from Florida. Since coming together in early April, the team has participated in 4 Toronto area tournaments and have been preparing hard for this prestigious event. We would like to thank our sponsor, Little Caesars Amateur Sports, for providing us with this exciting and special opportunity. 

We also want to thank Mr. Bill Comrie, Mr. Craig Styles, Mr. Andy Wigston, Ms. Dion Dragich and The Brick Tournament Committee along with all the organizers, sponsors and volunteers for their help in making this such a world class event. WINNIPEG JUNIOR JETS

The Winnipeg Junior Jets hockey team was finalized in January of 2015 after a rigorous series of try-outs and represents the best 9/10 year old athletes from Winnipeg and surrounding rural areas. We participated in four tournaments to prepare in advance of making the trip to Edmonton. The team is grateful for the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Brick Super Novice Invitational Tournament. We would like to wish all the teams competing good luck. Go Jets Go!

 

 

 

CHICAGO JUNIOR BLACKHAWKS

In December the tryout process began for the Chicago Jr. Blackhawks with over 100 players trying out for the team. In January the top 68 players from the first tryout were invited back to the United Center for a final tryout. Along with practicing various times throughout the spring/summer. The team won the STX Chi Town Shuffle Spring Tournament and will compete in the Top Tier Tournament in Toronto before going to the Brick Tournament in Edmonton.

 

 

 

TEAM PENNSYLVANIA

Team Pennsylvania 2005 was selected in March 2015. Each player went through an extensive identification and evaluation process which began in September 2014. The final roster was determined at a selection camp in York, Pennsylvania. The team will compete in two pre-Brick Tournaments: the Top Tier in May 2015 and the CCHA North American Spring Showcase in June 2015. Besides a series of practices in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Penn State University and Harrisburg. We would like to thank our sponsors - the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers - for providing us with this unique opportunity. In addition, we would like to thank Bill Comrie, Craig Styles, Andy Wigston, The Brick Tournament committee and all the volunteers for their hospitality and generosity. Finally, we would like to wish good luck to all the teams participating in this years tournament.

 

 

 

CONNECTICUT JUNIOR RANGERS

The CT JR Rangers would like to thank all the organizers, volunteers and sponsors for making the Brick experience one of a kind. Best of luck to all the participants in the 2015 Brick tournament.Building upon their 25 year history, in March of 2014 the Connecticut Yankees are excited to start a new chapter as the CT Junior Rangers Elite AAA Youth Hockey organization.

The CT Junior Rangers would like to thank the Brick Competition committee for their continued support and inclusion of the organization in this prestigious tournament. The 2015 edition of the CT JR Rangers were chosen in March after several competitive tryouts.

 

The CT Junior Rangers players come from some of the top AAA Youth Hockey organizations on the East Coast. Not only are the CT Junior Rangers focused on fielding the best team possible to represent the region, the organization is also focused on player development. The team has been practicing throughout the spring along with participating in some of the top pre-Brick tournaments.

The opportunity to play in the best youth hockey tournament in the world has both motivated and excited the players. The players are looking forward to participating in the Brick tournament and taking part in a once in a lifetime experience in Edmonton.

 

 

 

TORONTO BULLDOGS

The Toronto Bulldogs Hockey Club is very excited to send another very talented group of ten year olds from across Ontario to the Annual Brick Super Novice Tournament.  These highly skilled, enthusiastic players await their chance to compete in Edmonton and to create life-long friendships and memories.  We want to give special thanks to the volunteers, organizers and sponsors for providing such an awesome experience.  The Toronto Bulldogs Hockey Club wish good luck to all of you and remember every participant in this tournament is a winner!
